The Milwaukee Dog Training Club, located at 4375 N. Humboldt Blvd. in Milwaukee, WI (behind the location of the old Wisconsin Humane Society) was founded in 1929. In 2005 we opened our new, indoor location at 333 N. 25th St., also in Milwaukee. Today we lay claim to being the oldest dog training club in the Midwest.
We offer classes in obedience, agility, flyball, tracking and are involved in many other fun events & activities. Obedience training is on Sunday mornings year round, and either Wednesday evenings (Summer) or Wednesday & Thursday evenings (Winter) depending on the season. Visitors are welcome at all of our training sessions.
We are a not-for-profit hobby club with a group of experienced and knowledgeable dog enthusiasts serving as instructors. We are licensed by the American Kennel Club (AKC), and our training program is based on the AKC trial rules and regulations. This type of program not only permits you to enter American Kennel Club competitions (if you so desire), but also develops a well-mannered dog for everyday urban living.
The MDTC prides itself in promoting responsible dog ownership and care by offering the Milwaukee community low-cost, much needed dog obedience classes. Membership is open to adults 16 and over, accepting both purebred and mixed breed dogs ages 6 months and older.
We also offer classes in Agility, Flyball and Tracking. View those sections for more information about how to sign up for classes and who to contact with questions.

Therapy Dogs International (TDIŽ) is a volunteer organization that the MDTC endorses that is dedicated to regulating, testing and registration of
therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and
wherever else therapy dogs are needed. For more information, please go to their website, http://www.tdi-dog.org/.
