Milwaukee Dogs’ Flyball Teams Take 1st!

MDTC's "Great Balls of Fur" flyball team returned to competition after a 6 month "re-training" lay-off to post a convincing 1st place win in Division 3 at RPM's Hastings, MI tournament the weekend of June 28th & 29th. The winning team featured Madison (Sarah Willems), Kobi (Mark Anderson), Whim (Marnie Hammerle), Finney (Fred Kauer) Teddy (Karen Michalski), with a special appearance by Rosie (Kira Haslam), and the valuable assistance of team boxloader, Mark Haslam. In addition to the win, Teddy and Karen were recognized with a special award going to the "Little Dog with the Biggest Heart" which was awarded to the height dog who kept their teams in the race and caught the eyes of all the spectators. Great job, Teddy!

The team won 11 out of 12 races and posted a fastest time for the weekend of 19.47.

The next big tournament (July 19th and 20th) will be at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI and will be hosted by Hit Squad. Teams are coming from as far as New England, Nevada and Texas. The current world record holders (Spring Loaded) as well as teams from all 5 of the top ranked clubs in the world will be there. Come for an exciting weekend of flyball and cheer on our team!
