Milwaukee Dog Training Club’s (MDTC) beginner class started in November of 2007 and due to the number of active team members training new dogs, it was not open to handlers who were not already part of the team. We do not anticipate starting another beginner class until November 2008.
Flyball is a sport for all dogs, as any breeds (including
mixes) are welcome. Size simply doesn't matter, although small
dogs are highly desired!
MDTCs requirements to include
a dog in a beginner flyball class are as follows:
| - |
Dog must be 10 months of
age or older |
| - |
Basic obedience (sit, stay,
down, come) |
| - |
Dog must be comfortable
being handled by persons other than their handler. |
| - |
Non-aggressive personality
- flyball is a highly exciting dog sport. Dogs with aggression
issues should not sign up for this sport. |
| - |
Strong toy (preferred)
or toy drive is highly desired. |
| |
|
All classes will be held indoors on Tuesday evenings
at our new club facility in Milwaukee at 333
N. 25th Street, which is on the corner of 25th and
St. Paul Ave.
