Best Things About Joining MDTC:

The best part about my association with MDTC is sharing our successes and setbacks with a fine bunch of people that know what it takes to get our dogs working well. Lets face it, if I were to go up to someone at work, lets say, and tell them that Finney and I got our CD yesterday, all I would get is a puzzled look!

I also enjoy instructing obedience very much, and I can’t tell you how satisfying it is for me when one of my students does well at an obedience trial. It boils down to a great bunch folks with a common interest—the love of dogs and dog sports.

Most Memorable Moment/Story:
My most memorable moment at the club is when Both Daisy and Finney won the Supper Heel down for 4 years running. Only to lose out for the 5th year because of one no sit on the heel free. See you next year Sue! Well at least we lost out to another Border Collie! It could have been a Golden (Uck) just kidding. Other moments were when the club's obedience team took first at the World of Dogs at the State Fair for two consecutive years. With that said I have also enjoyed working and participating in countless club events.

My most memorable moment in competition is when Finney and I took Highest Scoring Dog in Trial with a 198.5 for his second leg towards his CD. An almost indistinguishable moment of enticement is when Daisy took her last jump in the ring to get her Utility Dog Title. Flyball is a blast and Finney and I are looking forward to many Flyball tournaments to come. He is obsessed!
