Kobi
Kobi made an impact on everyone he met. Sometimes it was because he just had to meet you face to face, and that meant 75lbs pounds of enthusiastic dog jumping up on you, but mostly because he was just a happy dog who could make anyone smile. Kobi was an attention-getter: golden fur, white paws and chest, long legs, soft ears and a ready tongue. He represented MDTC well, letting himself be petted for hours at the State Fair and Sports Show events, making the kids laugh at obedience demonstrations when he followed Mark during the long down. In dog sports, Kobi found his calling, showing off that goofy gait and flapping ears as Mark's partner in agility, and, showing his heart as a consistent and enthusiastic flyball dog who loved the sport with a loud barking passion. You were a good dog, Kobi, and we will miss you every day.

Kobi & "sister" Gracie always shared a kennel at dog
events. Kobi rarely would
rarely lay down, for fear he might miss something!

Jessie  1989-2006
Jessie was my first dog that I trained at MDTC. She enjoyed obedience training and agility because she got to spend time with me. Her favorite toy was her ball. She was 16 when she died of old age. She will be missed.

Bear    1993-2006
Bear was a great dog. He loved life. I trained him in obedience and agility. He died of cancer at 12-1/2 years old. He loved to twirl around in circles and bark. I will miss him forever.

Murphy
Died from liver cancer
in 1998 at eight years

My name is Victor Captain and I was a member until 1998. I trained with the Milwaukee Dog Training Club in the early 90s. I trained two dogs, Queenie Bee & Murphy. I instructed Novice, Advanced Novice and Open.

I also participated in many club events. Murphy acquired his CD and Queenie Bee acquired her CD and CDX.

We now have a male black Lab mix and he's just being a dog with no formal training (as of yet)!

My Casey Girl 2/20/83 - 5/19/97
Casey and I joined MDTC in January of 1984. She achieved her CD, CDX & UD. She also enjoyed running on our Scent Hurdle team. Casey and Digger took first place at one of your obedience trials entered in the Brace class. It is the Novice exercises but with 2 dogs side by side. That was a very proud day for me. I still have the trophy up on a shelf. I can't bear to part with it. She was a very special dog to me. She was the kind of dog that could tell exactly how you were feeling. If I felt down she would come and lick me in the face or do something to cheer me up. I miss her very much and she will always have a very special place in my heart.

Kalley (Belgian Tervuren) 10/28/95 - 12/29/03
Kalley and I did some obedience but she was a very nervous dog so I didn't take it very far. She did enjoy Agility and achieved her OA & EAC. She also tried herding and earned her HIC (Herding Instinct Cert.) She retired from agility early due to a spine injury that was fixed after some visits to the chiropractor. I started tracking with her which she really enjoyed because it was just her and me but then she got very sick and was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I had to say good bye to her when she was only 7 yrs. old. She and I used to howl together and get everyone laughing. Kalley was a one that was very attached to me and I to her. Ted & I miss her very much.

Shadow
Shadow left us in January, 2003 at the age of 9. She was a member at MDTC since July, 1995. She was the first dog Karen and I had together, and no dog since has compared. She earned her CGC and TDI designations as well as her Mixed Breed Novice title before she was forced to retire from showing. After that she still loved to come to the grounds and play with all the other dogs, even after her first surgery removed one leg.
