Fall Achievement Trial
October 5, 2003

On a nice, sunny, cool day 18 dogs were judged with eight earning a qualifying score. Our judge, Mike Los, road in from Burlington on his motor cycle, ran a smooth ring and made everyone feel comfortable. Thanks to our large group of helpers for also making everything run smoothly: Sue Steinbach, Dona Barsul, Fred Kauer, Tim and Sue Johansen, Tori Baldwin and Karen and Tina Felle. Sue put together dog bowls with goodies as the prizes. And everyone even got home in time to watch the Packers win. Congratulations to the following qualifiers:

OPEN B
Tim McLarty Border Collie Kilt 189 - 1st

OPEN A
Jim Carlson Poodle Danielle 190 - 1st
Lyle Lubenow German Shepherd Dog Chuck 179 - 2nd

NOVICE B
Kathleen Wener Mix Buddy 191 - 1st

NOVICE A
Lane Bostrom Miniature Schnauzer Roscoe 189 - 1st

PRE NOVICE

Edward Mahler Labrador Retriever Buddy 184 - 2nd
Matt Flaig Weimaraner Smokey 175 - 3rd

I hope the Pre Novice and Novice A people had a good time while learning about their dogs. Novice is a big step up - and that off leash is hard. I think it’s great you all entered - you only find out what it’s like by actually doing it. Good for you!

The next Achievement Trial will be in February in the Cudahy Kennel Club building.
