SUMMER PICNIC
Kick off the summer with a no-dog summer bash! Get to know your fellow members while enjoying a pot-luck style lunch and join the “highly” competitive Frisbee golf tournament. Hosted at our outdoor facility, this summer festivity is all about good food and good (human) company.
GHOST NIGHT
A night filled with spook and scare, bring your dog and a dish to pass to this outdoor party. For each dog and their person, there will be games galore - past ghost night competitions have included bobbing for zombie fingers (hotdogs), maze run, limbo contest, musical chairs and of course the annual costume contest where we will crown scariest pup, best duo, most creative and more.
Note: this event is open to dogs of all levels.
HOLIDAY BANQUET
Join us in celebrating our membership! The yearly holiday party offers space to congratulate members in a more formal dinner setting, offering recognition to our instructors, leadership, and competitors. This event occurs off-site and includes a formal sit down dinner, an award ceremony for those who received titles and honors, a raffle and a silent auction. The most formal event we host for our members, tickets will go on sale prior to the event and all dietary needs can be met!
SANTA LUNCHEON
A festive event for you and your pup - take pictures with Santa in your dogs' best holiday garb, bring a (human) dish to pass, and enjoy an indoor luncheon with members from all levels.
Community Exhibitions
West Allis 4th of July Parade
Our dogs and their owners shows off their red white and blue outfits and their skills in this summertime parade. We heel, stop, down, circle, and more through the streets of West Allis while surrounded by bands, floats, and lots of cheering spectators.
Wisconsin State Fair
Our obedience dogs show off their skills in the K9 Sports Arena, and our agility dogs put on a show of their own in the Colosseum. Both demos are well-attended and a lot of fun to watch!
Holiday Parades
MDTC regularly participates in the South Shore Holiday Parade and the West Allis Christmas Parade. Our dogs show off their amazing heeling and other obedience skills while walking through large crowds with lots of noise, lights, and distractions, and while wearing some great costumes!
